About the project
Marka PMR presents postage stamp issues and publications about them. Its website serves two related purposes: sharing current material and making an accumulated catalog accessible. A visitor may arrive for news about a new issue or to explore a particular subject among publications from earlier years.
This creates a different challenge from a small corporate introduction. Titles, images, issue years and subject groups become everyday tools for using the site. The material needs to remain available after it stops being the newest publication on the homepage, so the archive is part of the core experience.
Read articleTask
The main task was to bring news, historical material and collectible issues into one coherent structure. Each kind of content supports a different way of browsing. News introduces current publications, the catalog presents the issues themselves, and thematic sections connect material that may come from several different years.
Solution
The news area and the catalog have their own places within the website. Publications introduce new issues and other material from the publisher. The catalog gathers stamps for more sustained browsing. Visitors can begin with current content or go directly into the archive, depending on what they want to find.
Result
The result is a website that combines the publisher's articles with its postage stamp catalog. News, thematic publications and archived issues share an information environment while keeping their own roles. The catalog can be explored by year and subject, and its responsive presentation supports different screen sizes.
