About the project
The Scientific and Methodological Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics at T. G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University was established in 2004. Its work involves observations, education and the popularization of science. The observatory and planetarium website introduces that work alongside opportunities to discover it through tours.
The project has two connected sides. One concerns scientific content and information about the center; the other addresses someone looking for observations or a possible visit. The website needs to bring these interests together, retaining an astronomical atmosphere while giving practical information an understandable place within the presentation.
Read articleTask
The main task was to present the center, night observations and tour information within one structure. The site includes educational and private tours, a gallery, publications or news and contacts. Visitors need to distinguish information about the institution from material that concerns a possible visit.
Solution
The structure connects information about the center with observations and tours. Educational and private tours have distinct places in the content. The gallery offers a photographic introduction, and publications extend the broader presentation with material related to the observatory and its scientific and educational context.
Result
The result is a science and education website with information about the observatory, planetarium, observations and tours. The gallery and publications complete the introduction, while contacts support further communication. Responsive layouts present the same main sections on desktop and mobile, preserving the overall astronomical character.
